Mana Kai Paddle was created from a shared love of the ocean, nature, and Portugal — with the simple goal of offering authentic, high-quality ocean experiences in one of the most beautiful regions of the country.
Based in Sesimbra and operating inside Arrábida Natural Park, we introduce guests to stand up paddleboarding (SUP) culture in a way that feels personal, relaxed, and deeply connected to the environment. Every tour is designed to be memorable, safe, and grounded in respect for the ocean.
Meet Nate
Founder Nate relocated to Portugal from Hawai‘i, bringing with him a lifetime connection to the sea and over 15 years of experience in tourism, hospitality, and ocean safety.
He has operated multiple SUP schools around the world and worked as a PADI Scuba Instructor and Ocean Safety professional, combining technical knowledge with an easygoing, welcoming teaching style. After falling in love with Arrábida’s dramatic coastline, crystal-clear water, and protected marine life, Portugal quickly became home.
Known for his “solar-powered” personality, Nate brings positive energy, local insight, and genuine passion to every experience — making guests feel comfortable, confident, and fully present on the water.
